PRAISE –
Te Deum Laudamus (“God, We Praise
You) Latin hymn to God the Father and Christ the Son, traditionally
sung on occasions of public rejoicing (coronation of kings, proclamation
of bishops, consecration of a virgin, canonization of a saint,
divulgation of a peace treaty or a victory – 5th Century).
We praise you O God, we acknowledge you to be the Lord; all the
earth now worships you, the Father everlasting.
To you all angels cry aloud, the heavens and all the powers therein;
to you cherubim and seraphim continually do cry:
Holy, holy, holy Holy Lord, God of Sabbath, heaven and earth are
full of the majesty of your glory.
The glorious company of the apostles praise you, the goodly fellowship
of the prophets praise you,
the noble army of martyrs praise you, the holy Church throughout
all the world does acknowledge you: the Father of an infinite
majesty, your adorable, true, and only Son, also the Holy Spirit,
the counselor. You are the King of glory, O Christ.
You are the everlasting Son of the Father.
SURRENDER
O God Almighty, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, grant us, we
pray thee, to be grounded and settled in the truth by the coming
down of the Holy Sprit into our hearts. That which we know not,
do though reveal; that which is wanting in us, do though fill
up; that which we know, do thou confirm; and keep us blameless
in the service, through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. –

PETITION
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting
hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful
world as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will
make all things right if I surrender to His Will; That I may be
reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him Forever
in the next.
